What is high throughput bar dicing? High throughput bar dicing is a "batch process" approach to dicing laser bars.
Why use high throughput bar dicing? As its name implies, high throughput bar dicing can significantly increase the production of laser diodes from bars.
Process: The LSD-100 dicing machine is modified with a custom mandrel and break wheel. Laser bars are mounted in a regular pattern and the appropriate pattern parameters are programmed into the control software. The LSD-100 systematically pecks all of the laser bars at the die separation points and then breaks these bars into dice.
